Plugin Electric
Pure electric vehicles are very enivronmentally friendly and have the greatest impact on reducing our dependcy on foreign oil. The Plugin refers to the ability to charge the vehicle overnight.
Hybrid Electric
Hybrid automobiles come in various combinations, but basically there are two kinds. Hybrids which use both the internal combustion engine and the electric motor to power the drive train with varying degrees of sophistication. And hybrids which exlcusively use and electric motor to power the drive train, and a secondary engine to charge the internal batteries (much like trains and cruise ships have been doing for years).
